Watch has been disassembled and fully serviced 19th April 2024. Accuracy runs within 10 seconds a day at 19800bph. Case and bracelet are in excellent condition especially taking into account it's age. In addition you will receive an extra aftermarket leather strap with Rolex signed buckle and a luxury high end Rolex replacement box.

HISTORY OF MODEL

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref 1500 was introduced in the 1960's and remained in production until 1979. It shares many of the features of it's bigger brother the Datejust but housed in a smaller case at 34mm. This includes the benchmark COSC certified movement making it one of the most reliable and accurate movements with timekeeping within 10 seconds a day. The model on offer here is fitted with a 1570 Caliber and updated 19800 bph movement giving a power reserve of approximately 40 to 48 hours.

The acrylic crystal on the reference 1500 features the brand’s signature Cyclops magnification above the date window, which magnifies the calendar display by 2.5 times for facilitated viewing. The presence of acrylic on the Date ref. 1500 provides the watch with an unmistakable vintage look and feel.

To conclude this Pre-owned Rolex Date ref 1500 (1974) will amaze you with its vintage design. The silver watch face has aged over time to a gentle patina. Additionally, older-style hands and indices circle the dial along with the iconic calendar display.
