STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...

1969 Omega Genève Seamaster Automatic Cal. 565 Ref. 166.037
Introduced during one of Omega's most celebrated periods of watchmaking, this 1969 Omega Genève Seamaster Automatic combines elegant styling with one of the manufacturer's finest automatic movements. Housed in a classic 35mm stainless steel case, it offers timeless proportions that remain as wearable today as they were over half a century ago.
Powering the watch is the highly regarded Omega Calibre 565 automatic movement, a robust and reliable movement renowned for its quality of construction and smooth operation. Paired with a clean silver sunburst dial, applied baton hour markers and polished hands, the watch perfectly captures the understated sophistication of late-1960s Omega design.
One of the most appealing features of this example is its distinctive dial configuration. Rather than the more commonly encountered Genève-only dial, this watch proudly displays both the Genève and Seamaster designations, creating a rarer and more desirable combination that is seldom seen. This subtle detail gives the watch a unique character while reflecting Omega's transitional model range during this period.
The stainless steel case remains in very good to excellent vintage condition, showing only light signs of careful wear commensurate with its age. The watch is presented on a new black leather strap fitted with a genuine Omega signed buckle, completing the period-correct appearance. It is also supplied with an Omega travel case, making it an attractive package whether purchased for everyday enjoyment or as part of a growing vintage collection.
As with all vintage timepieces, this watch has been carefully inspected and accurately described, allowing its originality and honest condition to speak for themselves.
At Stonebridge Watches, we are particularly pleased to offer this example due to its uncommon double-signed Genève Seamaster diala configuration encountered far less frequently than the standard Genève models of the period. Combined with the desirable Calibre 565 movement, classic 35mm case and elegant presentation, it represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire an increasingly sought-after vintage Omega that stands apart from more commonly available examples. We believe it is an exceptional addition to any discerning collection.
