The Baume & Mercier Hampton Chronograph, reference 65341, is a beautifully styled Swiss timepiece that combines classic Art Deco influences with the distinctive character of the Hampton collection. Its elegant rectangular stainless steel case, polished finish and striking black dial create a sophisticated appearance that remains as appealing today as when the model was first introduced.
The black dial features contrasting silver-grey chronograph registers, beautifully proportioned Arabic numerals and a discreet date display positioned between four and five o'clock. The carefully balanced arrangement of the dial gives the watch a distinctive character, while the polished case provides an attractive contrast to its darker tones. The result is a particularly handsome chronograph that manages to be both understated and eye-catching.
Powered by a reliable Swiss quartz chronograph movement, the watch offers accurate timekeeping alongside practical stopwatch functionality and a date display. A sapphire crystal provides excellent scratch resistance, making this an appealing choice for both regular wear and more formal occasions.
Presented in excellent pre-owned condition, this example retains a particularly attractive dial and a well-preserved stainless steel case, with only minor signs of previous use consistent with its age. It is fitted with a new leather strap and unsigned buckle, complementing the watch's elegant appearance. The original box and papers are not included.
The Hampton Chronograph has proved to be one of our most popular Baume & Mercier sellers, and it is easy to understand why. Its distinctive rectangular case, elegant proportions and timeless styling offer something refreshingly different from the more conventional round chronograph. We particularly like this black-dial example, which has a wonderfully sophisticated appearance on leather.
