STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...

The Omega Constellation has long been regarded as one of the finest expressions of mid-century Swiss watchmaking, combining elegant design with some of the most accomplished automatic movements of the era. This particular Constellation Day-Date, reference 168.016, is a superb example of the model and presents in excellent vintage condition.
The silver sunburst dial remains beautifully preserved, displaying the clean and understated aesthetic that has made the Constellation line so enduringly popular with collectors. Applied baton hour markers, black-accented hands and the framed day-date aperture create a refined and highly legible appearance, while the famous Constellation star sits proudly above six o'clock as a reminder of the model's chronometer-certified heritage.
Powering the watch is Omega's highly respected Calibre 751 automatic movement, a 24-jewel chronometer-rated movement widely regarded as one of the company's finest vintage automatics. At the time of listing, the watch is running at approximately +6 seconds per day, providing performance that is exceptional for a watch of this age and a testament to both the quality of the movement and its current mechanical health.
The stainless steel case remains particularly sharp, retaining its original character and proportions, while the watch is fitted to a new leather strap and accompanied by an Omega-signed stainless steel buckle, completing the presentation perfectly. An Omega travel case is also included.
Elegant, versatile and increasingly difficult to source in this level of condition, the Constellation remains one of the most rewarding vintage Omega models to own. Equally at home as a daily wearer or as part of a carefully curated collection, it represents a wonderful example of the quality that established Omega as one of the world's great watch manufacturers.
At Stonebridge Watches, vintage Omega models never disappoint. Their combination of quality, reliability, design and value continues to resonate with collectors and enthusiasts alike. As our inventory and website traffic consistently demonstrate, Omega remains our most popular and most frequently visited category, and exceptional examples such as this Constellation Day-Date are a large part of the reason why..
