### Vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville 135.020
A quite exceptional example of the classic Omega Seamaster De Ville, presented in outstanding vintage condition and featuring one of the cleanest silver sunburst dials we have seen on this model.
Dating from the 1960s, reference 135.020 represents everything that makes vintage Omega watches so appealing. The beautifully understated silver dial is complemented by applied baton hour markers with contrasting dark inserts, slender hands and the instantly recognisable applied Omega emblem. The elegant Seamaster De Ville signature completes a design that remains remarkably fresh more than half a century after it was produced.
The condition of this particular watch is what really sets it apart. The dial is exceptionally well preserved, retaining its beautiful sunburst finish with crisp printing and wonderfully clean hour markers. The stainless steel case also presents superbly, with well-defined lugs and excellent overall definition, while the case back retains the famous Omega Seamaster hippocampus emblem.
At approximately 34mm excluding the crown, the proportions are quintessentially vintage. It sits beautifully on the wrist and is an excellent example of why smaller classic watches have such enduring appeal. The slim case and long, angular lugs give the watch considerably more wrist presence than its dimensions might initially suggest.
The watch is powered by a traditional hand-wound mechanical movement, providing the wonderfully simple experience of winding and wearing a vintage Omega without the additional complication of a date display. The clean, symmetrical dial is all the better for it.
We have fitted the watch with a new quality dark leather strap, complemented by an Omega signed buckle, which suits the understated character of the watch beautifully.
This is not simply another vintage Seamaster De Ville. Its exceptional cosmetic condition makes it increasingly difficult to compare with the more commonly encountered examples showing significant dial ageing, case wear or loss of definition.
