Stonebridge Watches is delighted to offer this beautiful vintage Seiko Retrograde Triple Calendar, reference 5Y66-0AF0, dating to approximately 1996. Featuring an elegant gold-tone tonneau case and a wonderfully detailed silver-champagne dial, this distinctive timepiece combines classic dress-watch styling with an unusual and attractive calendar arrangement.
The outstanding feature is undoubtedly the beautifully designed dial. Traditional Roman numerals surround an intricate guilloché-style centre, complemented by three subsidiary displays. A particularly appealing retrograde day indicator occupies the upper-left section, while separate pointer date and 24-hour displays complete the sophisticated design. The combination of finely detailed silver surfaces, elegant hands and warm gold-tone case creates a wonderfully refined appearance.
Measuring 36mm excluding the crown, the gently curved tonneau case offers elegant proportions and a comfortable fit on the wrist. This particular example remains in excellent vintage condition, with its beautifully preserved dial and polished gold-tone case presenting extremely well.
Powered by Seiko's reliable Calibre 5Y66 quartz movement, the watch offers the convenience of accurate, low-maintenance timekeeping together with its distinctive calendar functions. A new battery has been fitted, and the watch is complemented by a Seiko-branded brown leather strap with a gold-tone Seiko-signed buckle.
