STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...
Omega Seamaster Automatic Ref. 166.037 SP Silver Sunburst Dial
A refined and highly wearable vintage example of the iconic Omega Seamaster 166.037, dating to the late 1960s a period widely regarded as one of Omegas golden eras of design and mechanical quality.
This piece showcases a beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial, catching the light with a subtle radial texture that perfectly complements the applied baton hour markers and minimalist handset. The clean, balanced layout is enhanced by a neatly framed date aperture at 3 oclock, offering both practicality and timeless aesthetic appeal.
Powered by the respected Omega calibre 565 automatic movement, this watch benefits from a quickset date function and is known for its reliability and smooth operation. The movement remains correct to the reference and presents honestly, with visible signs of age consistent with a vintage timepiece.
The stainless steel case features classic late-60s proportions and elegant lugs, making it exceptionally versatile on the wrist. At approximately 35mm, it wears comfortably across a wide range of wrist sizes increasingly sought after for its understated and refined presence.
This example is paired with a new quality leather strap and vintage Omega buckle, ensuring it is ready to wear and enjoy.
Recently servived (Jan 2026) the timegrapher shows a daily accuracy of less than 10 seconds a day. Remarkable accuracy for a watch almost 60 years old.
