STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...

The Omega Seamaster 166.067 remains one of the most wearable and understated vintage Omega references of the 1970s, combining elegant proportions with the dependable engineering that helped establish the Seamaster line as one of the most respected names in Swiss watchmaking. This particular example is especially appealing thanks to its beautifully preserved champagne satin dial, a subtle and highly attractive finish that reveals a soft metallic warmth in changing light. The finely textured dial surface creates exceptional depth and character, giving the watch a far more distinctive appearance than a standard silver dial configuration.
Housed within the desirable oversized 36mm stainless steel case, this reference wears noticeably larger than many vintage Omega dress watches of the period and has earned a reputation amongst collectors as a true jumbo Seamaster. The broader dial opening and elegant lyre-style case design give the watch a strong wrist presence while retaining the refined proportions expected from a classic vintage Omega.
The overall condition of the watch is excellent. The dial, hands, crystal and front-facing case surfaces present beautifully, with the sharp applied hour markers and clean handset complementing the monochromatic aesthetic perfectly. The warm champagne tone of the dial pairs exceptionally well with the newly fitted tan leather strap, creating a combination that feels both sophisticated and effortlessly vintage in character. Completing the watch is an Omega signed buckle, adding an authentic finishing touch that sits perfectly with the overall presentation.
The caseback remains in very good condition overall, retaining the embossed Seamaster hippocampus medallion clearly, though it does feature one more significant scratch consistent with age and honest wear. Importantly, the remainder of the watch presents to an excellent standard and this should not detract from what is otherwise a particularly attractive example of the reference.
Powered by Omegas reliable automatic movement, the watch is supplied with an Omega travel case and is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
At Stonebridge Watches, we are particularly fond of these larger vintage Omega references. The combination of the desirable 36mm jumbo case and the wonderfully textured champagne satin dial creates a Seamaster with genuine presence and individuality on the wrist. It is an elegant yet distinctive vintage Omega that stands apart from more common configurations. For collectors comparing variations, we also currently have an alternative version of this reference available on our website featuring the rare silver satin dial configuration.
