STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...Here at Stonebridge Watches we are always looking to bring the finest and often rarest vintage Rolex watches. This Oyster Perpetual Ref:1002 is in beautiful condition and has been serviced in March 2025 and should give many years of wearing pleasure. It has been timegraphed to within 10 seconds a day, which given it's age at over 50 years is very accurate.
The highlight of this watch is of course the dial, presented in excellent clean condition with it's Roman numeral markers making this edition very desirable. We photographed this watch on instagram and it broke our viewing numbers of every other post, such was the interest. In our humble opinion it is not difficult to see why.
Powered by Calibre 1570, a hand winding and automatic movement. The serial number (341XXX) is clearly stamped on the 34mm case with a 19mm lug size. Also included is a very high quality aftermarket Rolex presentation box and would therefore make a very beautiful present for a loved one or simply for yourself.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1002 is an often overlooked model, it is simple, elegant, historically significant, and relatively affordable, especially when compared to even the cheapest modern day Rolex. If you are looking for a vintage watch with good reliability, the potential to wear everyday and a conversation starter amongst any of your watch wearing friends we can recommend this whole heartedly. It is unlikely we will find another in this condition with this rare dial configeration in the short term, therefore consider this a good opportunity to purchase a hidden gem and stand out from the crowd.
